Whatsapp is not working in LG P970

in my LG phone whatsapp is not working its got hanged and one notice is there that AFTER DECEMBER 31 IN LG P970 YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO USE WHATSAPP
please tell me the solution what should i do.
its a big issue for me .
