There are lots of excellent instructions for rooting and customizing this phone (kudos to painiac and jrkruse) but I am going the opposite direction.
I just got a Note 7 to replace my S5 and I am sending the S5 to a daughter who isn't tech savy enough to deal with anything but a stock phone. I want to send the phone to her with the latest DPF4 build but cannot locate a stock image to run thru ODIN.
When I tried an OTA update, it failed with the 'Update service is temporarily unavailable' message. This is because the phone is no longer recognized by Verizon. Doesn't matter that I am using WIFI and not VZN network.
I see two ways to proceed. 1) Call VZN and activate the S5 then run OTA update, then call back and activate Note 7.
OR-- 2) Locate stock image DPF4 and ODIN the S5.
Sooo... Anybody know where I can download the stock image DPF4?
